All the refs had to do was blow the whistle and give Rutgers the ball with about 1.7 seconds left. I guess the reffing strategy here was make no call then make no mistake. As Hulk would say, "Bad strategy brother!"Truthfully I'm glad St. Johns won. I like Steve Lavin, and St. Johns is bringing in the number two recruit class next year so I hope they keep it up. Anyways, this post isn't about St. Johns it's about the refs. They just let the St Johns kid just walk down the court like he owns Madison Square Garden without even taking a dribble. Reality check, the horn never went off bro. That's the problem with basketball players nowadays. Most of them have this swagger like they've been a five time NBA MVP. The refs made one smart move. Once the buzzer actually went off, they ran out of the building like the place was on fire. It's hard to get screamed at by fans when you're gone before they even realize you screwed them. In the NSHL the clock doesn't even matter, it's get to forty or die trying.
