Meet the athletes: Nick Schleicher

Nick Schleicher was the captain of Cougar Bait, the cinderella team that started off 0-2 and made its journey all the way to winning the championship. Nick graduated from Bridgewater State with a degree in Physical Education. He's 24 and is the Intramural Director at Bridgewater State. Nick plays Guard and makes his presence on the court known with his competitive drive and defense. Cougar Bait was decided as their team name because their players see themselves as studs and rumor is the older women love em. Their Recruiting methods for their team were wanting a balanced team who would want to win and staying within their close knit group of friends. When asked about a prediction of their record for next year, NIck's response was, "We're the defending champs- UNDEFEATED." Nick states his team's most important offseason move was the acquisition of the burley Tom Doucette. Nick was also curious if any of the other teams have the possibility of repeating as champions.
